This is a photo of my great grandmother and her friend in the early 1900's. It captures a moment of joy and friendship. Not shown in the photo is the backstory of these women. Like contemproary photos, things haven't changed all that much. The happy moments get saved, get posted. The other moments, such as trying to protect yourself and your children from unimaginable pain, are less visible.
Even now, many parents and children don't get the medical and mental health care they need, not because they do not want help, but because they fear trusting those closest to them, including those who are sworn "to protect and to serve" or to "first do no harm." What if they are not believed? Or worse, blamed for the trauma they have endured?
Healing To You is a unique nonprofit that meets members of our local communities, members of our own families, who are surviving in silence where they are at. Safe and confidential access to medical and mental health recovery services during some of life's hardest moments reminds them they are not alone, and allows them to begin healing within a community of care.
I hope you will join me in supporting this work. Whether it is $25 or simply sharing this page, every act of support helps bring healing, hope, and dignity to someone who truly needs it.
Healing To You is raising $25,000 to expand our Access in Motion campaign, bringing trauma-informed medical and mental health care directly to individuals and families who would otherwise go without it. Through partnerships with Human Options, Radiant Futures, Laura’s House, WisePlace, and Orangewood Foundation, we are able to deliver care in trusted community settings where it is safe and accessible.
1000 for $25
We are asking 1,000 people to give $25.
That is how we reach our goal. That is how care happens.
Your gift joins others to bring real, immediate care to people who cannot access it on their own.
Be one of the 1,000. Then share this and ask a few people in your life to do the same.
Your support helps remove barriers to care and ensures that survivors and underserved families can access the medical and mental health services they need to stabilize, heal, and move forward.
