Addiction is a family disease, and I wouldn't be who I am today without the love and support of my family when I was in my darkest moments.
New Directions for Women is a light for women who need love and support, and their innovative approach not only supports individual recovery but also reduces the strain on overburdened systems, such as child welfare and emergency medical services. And the Family Program helps women heal their closest family relationships.
NDFW's Family Program provides parenting support, onsite childcare, family therapies and groups, and therapeutic services for children ages 5 and up through a partnership with California Family Institute. The exceptional gender specific services NDFW provides are family centered, and they promote healthy parenting, prevent domestic violence, and assist in family reunification.
By addressing addiction, mental health, and family stability simultaneously, New Directions for Women strengthens families, improves community health, and creates lasting, generational change.
